Running of the Brides Washington D.C. 2009

This is one event that Rebecca Mead, author of One Perfect Day: The Selling of the American Wedding, would be intrigued by. Here are hundreds of brides and their entourage lining up in the wee hours for their chance to find the perfect wedding dress. I was lucky to meet some of these ladies and feel their incredible energy while they readied for the rush.

Thanks for all the enthusiasm, brides, and congrats! I did not post any of the inside photos out of so-called superstition. (didn't want any bride-to-be-zillas angry for pre-debuting their most perfect gowns.) So now when asked if I shoot weddings, I can reply, "I shot hundreds of brides last year!"
